Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting quality engineering projects and improvement initiatives. This individual writes and performs technical review of procedures as needed, and participates in the review and approval of validations and process improvements. They are responsible for QA interface with other functional areas to ensure that projects and product development is completed in accordance with FDA and AATB guidelines.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A minimum of 5 years of experience within the tissue banking, medical device, pharmaceutical or biologics industries. Working knowledge of regulatory and quality system standards (FDA, ISO, AATB, etc.) is required.
Proficiency in the use of sampling plans, validation protocols, supplier management tools, documentation control, change control, process control and process improvement principles. Demonstrated leadership quality engineering functions.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical or engineering field (engineering preferred).

 

Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Assistant Controller in the preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecast, product line reporting, and other business analysis needs (including monthly and quarterly close). Types of duties include, but are not limited to, economic analysis (rates of return for projects, cost and processing trend analysis), project work (OPO pricing structures/simplification, evaluation of new building options (lease vs. buy, etc.), process improvement evaluations, and supporting CFO on special projects and presentations. This position also provides analytical support to both CBD and Operations, including evaluation of operating results.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in budget preparation, business analysis and/or accounting. Strong excel spreadsheet and power capabilities are also required.

Central Services Trainee

The Central Service Trainee is responsible for cleaning and decontaminating instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies used in the processing of human donor bone and tissue. This position assembles, prepares, and wraps instruments and equipment for sterilization, and maintains and stocks adequate supplies for the dept. This position is also responsible for maintaining records of all autoclave loads and all other records pertaining to Central Service documentation. This position requires the CS technician to lift a number of items that are at a minimum of 35 lbs. Standing for 6 to 8 hours is required depending on the task at hand. The risk of exposure to chemicals and heat from the autoclaves is also a factor and therefore protective clothing shall be worn at all times.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
A basic understanding of aseptic technique. The ability to effectively communicate, read,
write and comprehend detailed technical instructions.

RA/QA Specialist

The primary duties of the RA/QA Specialist are to develop, implement, and maintain procedures in support of the quality systems. Additional responsibilities include coordinating investigations, corrective actions, and change control packages. Perform QA Final product release and represent quality in meetings, and provide guidance for day to day issues. Assist with registrations, licensure, and submissions and conduct regulatory research. Hazards exist such as exposure to cadaveric tissue, processing equipment and clean rooms. Travel may be periodically required for this position and therefore a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
At least 4 years working in a FDA regulated industry (ex: tissue banking, medical device, biologics or pharmaceutical) in a quality role. Experience shall include direct experience with aspects of a Quality System. This includes but is not limited to; quality assurance, quality control, document control, regulatory affairs (auditing, regulatory compliance, incident reporting, inspections, submissions, data review, recalls, etc.). This position requires excellent written and communication skills.

EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
A Bachelors degree in a technical or scientific field or five or more years experience in a quality assurance role in a FDA regulated industry.
