Powerful possibilities for leadership, safety and quality
AlloSource takes great pride in being an industry leader in regards to certifications and procedural compliance. We make every possible effort to assure our allografts are the safest available. There has never been a confirmed incident of disease transmission from AlloSource tissue.
The American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) publishes standards for tissue processing that meets acceptable norms of technical and ethical performance. Accreditation in this association is voluntary. AlloSource maintains AATB accreditation for all operations including processing, storage and distribution of tissue.
The AATB also offers a certification program for individual tissue processing personnel as well. 106 AlloSource personnel have voluntarily pursued and received certification from the Association.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has produced several guidelines, final rules and proposed rules for the tissue banking industry, addressing tissue intended for transplantation, donor suitability, good tissue practices, facility inspections, regulation enforcement and establishment registration. AlloSource not only supports regulation, but also works closely with the FDA to continuously improve industry guidelines.
