Agreement with IsoTis Completes Line of Paste and Putty Products

May 23, 2007  (CENTENNIAL, CO) – AlloSource, one of the nation’s largest non-profit providers of skin,  bone and soft tissue allografts for use in surgical procedures, announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with IsoTis, Inc.(NASDAQ: ISOT), the orthobiologics company. Under the new agreement, AlloSource receives an exclusive license to use the intellectual property necessary to manufacture products similar to IsoTis’ first generation demineralized bone matrix (DBM) products in North America, and a non-exclusive license to market them to and through AlloSource’s own distribution or private label partners.

The agreement takes effect on May 18, 2007.  The transaction also increases the supply of ground cortical bone and ground cancellous bone to IsoTis.  IsoTis will retain all intellectual property rights and will remain the sole manufacturer for its own first generation DBM products, Dynagraft II and OrthoBlast II, as well as those manufactured for other current and future private IsoTis label partners.

With the completion of this license agreement, AlloSource becomes the only tissue bank offering a full range of bone growth substitutes including DBM and Cancellous bone particulates, AlloFuse and AlloFuse Plus DBM paste and putty and Osteocel, the osteoconductive, osteoinductive and osteogenic bone void filler. AlloSource is the second largest non-profit bone, soft tissue and allograft skin network in the nation.  AlloSource is also the largest supplier of fresh cartilage allografts and skin used for life-saving burn applications in the world.

“Expanding our agreement with IsoTis will allow us to improve donor utilization and provide our customers a complete offering of bone growth substitutes. The breadth of our offerings allows physicians to match the right product to each patient,” said Thomas Cycyota, AlloSource President and CEO.  “AlloSource is a growth oriented company and we will continue to explore every opportunity to increase and improve our offerings in order to influence optimal surgical outcomes.”
