The AATB publishes standards and performs inspections to ensure that the conduct of tissue processing meets acceptable norms of technical and ethical performance. The AATB also accredits organizations and performs inspections of tissue recovery organizations to ensure procedures are being performed in a professional manner consistent with industry standards.
AlloSource not only maintains AATB accreditation for all operations, 106 employees have voluntarily completed a special AATB certification for tissue processing personnel.
The AATB also maintains close liaison with FDA officials, engaging in an on-going program of information exchange.
