Rewarding opportunities await at AlloSource

AlloSource offers qualified candidates excellent employment opportunities throughout the company.

Processing

Processing Technicians (PTs) are central to AlloSource’s function and put our mission into action every day, preparing, processing, and packaging donor tissue. They spend most of their time in the Core, an environmentally controlled work area that uses HEPA filtration to maintain a Class 100 processing atmosphere. Here, PTs wear personal protective equipment to prevent contamination all the while adhering to aseptic “operating room” levels of cleanliness.  PTs must debride, cut, shape, and clean human tissue. This results in the allograft tissue surgeons use.

Individuals with an interest or background in biology and medicine may enjoy working in Processing.

Research and Development

The Research and Development (R&D) staff includes microbiologists, chemists, and biochemists that develop new techniques to improve allograft tissue processing. Their role is critical to ensuring that AlloSource is a leader with respect to its good tissue practices. The duties of the department range from process development to product innovation, always seeking to enhance what AlloSource provides to the surgeons and patients within its donor communities.

Members of the R&D staff possess advanced degrees in various life sciences fields.

Central Supply

Central Supply Technicians (CSTs) work in a HEPA controlled environment, delivering sterile instrumentation and supplies to Core processing areas.  From gross decontamination and automated washing cycles, to the final sterilization by autoclave, CSTs follow the strictest guidelines to prepare the tools necessary for processing.  They are key to the safe processing of donor tissue, so that gift of tissue can be maximized.

Central Supply Technicians must have a high school diploma and be able to follow detailed and complex instructions.

Customer and Business Development

Once allograft tissue is ready for release, Customer and Business Development (CBD) takes over.  CBD interacts with our donor communities through regional service centers, managed by Regional Allograft Managers and staffed by Customer Service Consultants. Their job is to provide unparalleled service to hospitals and patients.

CBD also works with AlloSource medical device partners to develop allograft products that integrate with proprietary surgical instrumentation. This combination allows surgical specialists to deliver optimal solutions to their patients.

CBD also houses an extensive internal customer service and distribution organization. Serving customers around the world, they prepare countless shipments of allograft products for rapid delivery each day.

Special allograft products like skin or fresh cartilage require unique distribution systems. These systems are also administered by the CBD group, enabling timely delivery of these special tissues within 24 hours of notification.
