Medical Records Specialist I

The Medical Records Specialist I position is responsible for assessing donor acceptance criteria, medical records review and interfacing with recovery agencies and the AlloSource Medical Director. Responsibilities include:

Inventory Control Technician I

The purpose of the Inventory Control Technician I (IC tech I) is to stage donor tissues In accordance with throughput requirements. The IC tech is expected to maintain accurate, up-to-date tissue inventory records, and conduct frequent partial physical cycle counts to verify accuracy of the records. IC techs are also expected to drive a company vehicle to transport tissue between AlloSource locations. This position will interact with other departments to ensure the necessary steps are taken to provide safe, transplantable products in a cost effective manner.

SPECIAL DEMANDS AND/OR HAZARDS:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be completed on an annual basis to ensure compliance with the AlloSource insurance carrier requirements.
• Must be capable of lifting and handling shipping containers weighing up to 35 pounds. Must be able to stand, reach, and stretch in order to place and retrieve tissue in the bottom of chest freezers, and at the back of the top shelf of upright freezers.
• This position also requires the ability to organize and analyze a large volume of data, the ability to interact and communicate successfully, and the ability to use various software programs effectively. Time management and individual workflow control are also important. Hazards are limited to carpal tunnel syndrome and other office maladies.

• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and the transactional area to ensure the Company’s ability to leverage headcount to support growth.
• Overall responsibility for the coordination and conduct of the annual financial audit.
• Handle all financial regulatory requirements including but not limited to Form 990 return for the corporation; Form 5500 returns for the Cafeteria Plan and the 403(b) Pension Plan, property tax returns and any State Franchise and Sales or Use Tax returns.
• Other duties and responsibilities that the CFO may assign.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

Minimum of 5 years experience in an Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor capacity, preferably within a manufacturing or similar environment. CPA highly desirable. At least 2 -5 years of successful supervision experience leading a staff of 4 or 5 professionals is necessary. Demonstrated ability to handle oneself professionally with Executive Management, Lenders, Auditors, representatives from Owner Organizations and other outside contacts.

EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

Operations Support Technician

The Operations Support Technician is an entry-level position designed to offer support to the Processing staff. The Support Technician is responsible for acquiring regulatory knowledge in a GMP environment. This includes proper clean room etiquette and company policies. The Operations Support Technician will utilize several pieces of equipment and be in contact with process chemicals on a daily basis. This may include, but is not limited to, wet vacuums, power washers, and mops. To work in this position one must be able to work in a restricted environment performing manual duties and lifting 35+pounds. To minimize the effect of error, a Support Technician shall work with a trained individual on all processes for which they are not trained. This position requires a HS diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities include:

• Reading and comprehension of SOPs and WIs

• Processing area cleaning and turnover

Central Services Tech I

The Central Service Trainee is responsible for cleaning and decontaminating instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies used in the processing of human donor bone and tissue. This position assembles, prepares, and wraps instruments and equipment for sterilization, and maintains and stocks adequate supplies for the dept. This position is also responsible for maintaining records of all autoclave loads and all other records pertaining to Central Service documentation. This position requires the CS technician to lift a number of items that are at a minimum of 35 lbs. Standing for 6 to 8 hours is required depending on the task at hand. The risk of exposure to chemicals and heat from the autoclaves is also a factor and therefore protective clothing shall be worn at all times.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

A basic understanding of aseptic technique. The ability to effectively communicate, read, write and comprehend detailed technical instructions.

Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining facility processing equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, administrative area, building, and grounds in a safe and effective condition. Documenting the scheduled and non-scheduled events within Maintenance Management System and assuring a mirror image resides within hardcopy files. Must respond to a variety of problems in a timely manner to prevent delays in tissue processing. Must perform needed repairs and preventative maintenance, or identify and contract with an outside source to perform the task. Qualified individual must be able to be on-call on a rotating basis to respond to equipment failures, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Must be able to lift +35lbs. Travel is a necessity for this position, and therefore an acceptable motor vehicle record is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

• 10 years experience in facility related maintenance,
• 5 years of cGMP experience in a medical device or similar industry
• Knowledgeable in building construction and preventive maintenance
